It was finally about time that the blood bay stallion climbed upon a small formation jutting from the mountains to survey his land. Well, soon to be his land. So far the mountain border was safe and no herd resided there. However, he had already gotten news that the Rose Creek herd had settled in. Snorting, the handsome blood bay made his way back down to walk along another path he had seen along the mountain. His muscled body and sturdy legs made the mountain an ease for him, his handsome height of sixteen point two hands standing out in his prime. However, t was not the best herd territory he knew that. There were no grassy, rolling plains for miles on end, no luscious forests, and no vast freshwater lakes. At least that meant his herd would grow to be strong and noble creatures. He would accept any mare, but the colts would have to grow up strong and sturdy in this terrain that was certain. Making out a powerful bellow, he felt the need to make his claim upon this land final- a warning to the other brute should he hear. Grinning, the bay moved from the mountain side and downwards to scout around.
